The Astoria Seminar

[July 14, 2007]  Our own Dave Abrahams and Eric Niebler join Andrei Alexandrescu, Scott Meyers, and Walter Bright for what promises to be a mind-expanding journey.

Happy Bastille Day! As summer settles into its rhythm and the Tour de France heads into the mountains, we're busy settling details of a new fall seminar for advanced C++ prgrammers, The Astoria Seminar presents Extraordinary C++. This collaboration is an exciting opportunity for Dave and Eric—we've worked with Andrei, Scott, and Walter in various combinations over the years, but never before has this diverse group of five C++ experts come together, each bringing his own unique perspective to an event. The small size of the seminar (only 55 people), the mix of lectures, discussions, group meals, and outings, and last but not least the venue of picturesque Astoria, Oregon, will all contribute to a truly extraordinary event with learning, fun, and direct interaction with top personalities in the field.

The small size of the event makes it imperative that you act fast to register. We intentionally imposed a strict limit on the number of attendees in order to ensure plenty of face time with the speakers and to ensure a creative dynamic.
